Visitors to Surfers Paradise this holiday season will discover a magical festive world as the precinct transforms head-to-toe into a Christmas wonderland to delight visitors young and old.
Surfers Paradise Alliance has partnered with GoldLinQ to bring nine days of spectacular Christmas spirit to the precinct this year with a number of festivities as part of ‘Christmas in Paradise’ including the Gold Coast’s first-ever Carols on the Beach concert on the evening of Sunday 23 December.
Throughout the two weekends leading up to Christmas, the newly renovated Cavill Mall, Chevron Renaissance, The High Street and Circle on Cavill will showcase an array of exciting Christmas acts from 6-9pm beginning Thursday 13 December through to Monday 24 December.
Surfers Paradise will come aglow with spirit this Christmas with life-sized presents, roller skating Christmas bells and shiny baubles, acrobatic elves, toy sol diers and Santa’s helpers floating around the precinct entertaining the crowds at various times across the nine days.
Throughout the lead up to Christmas, Surfers Paradise Alliance and GoldLinQ also invite families to visit Santa’s Surfboat in Cavill Mall, where children can post their wish lists and letters to Santa in the giant letter box and get their photo taken with the jolly old man himself.
A special 30 minute Christmas show by kids’ favourites the Looney Tunes characters will be on twice nightly at 6pm and 8pm.
GoldLinQ will also provide children with an entertaining colouring-in sheet which can be obtained from Surfers Paradise traders, allowing them to draw and colour- in while their parents get last minute Christmas shopping done.
