Sydney Olympic Park’s popular ‘Kids in the Park’ winter school holiday activities program is bursting with indoor fun to keep kids of all ages and interests entertained… and dry!

Jam-packed with more than 60 activity options – many of which are held indoors – Kids in the Park will operate across Sydney Olympic Park EVERY DAY of the winter school holidays from 27 June – 12 July 2015.

At the Aquatic Centre, where it’s always a comfy 26 degrees, kids aged 8-15 can learn the basics of water polo from qualified coaches. One of six NEW activities in the Kids in the Park winter 2015 program, the Holiday Water Polo Clinic will operate at various times from 29 June – 3 July.

Sporty kids will also find loads of indoor action at Monster Skatepark, where five Monster Activities will leave skateboarders and scooter-riders of all abilities spoilt for choice.

Adventurous children can too get their adrenaline pumping every Sunday, when they Escape the Museum at Newington Armory. Also NEW to Kids in the Park and one of 14 good-value options at less than $25, participants will use clues to solve puzzles and find the key to open a lock or stop a countdown clock and escape!

The team from Fizzics Education will return to Kids in the Park this winter to host a variety of workshops at the Education Centre at Bicentennial Park. Children will learn about programming robots at Lego Robotics, experiment with chemistry in Chemical Concoctions or have fun figuring-out riddles and puzzles in the NEW Riddle Me This. Hands on experiments will be on offer in Exploring Science as well as Gross and Gory Science where kids will make fake snot and vile vomit. Ewwwwwwww!

True ‘indoor types’ will revel in The Writing Workshop also at Bicentennial Park where Vogel Award-winning author, Bernard Cohen, will present a choice of 10 different workshops for imaginations to run wild! The NEW Strange New Worlds workshop will have kids looking deep into the future and meeting strange creatures.

Creative kids imaginations’ will be captured with NEW Sand Art Fun at Bicentennial Park! Good-value at just $10 per child for one card, two cards for $15 or three cards for $20, kids will get to sculpt artworks using bright and vibrantly-coloured sand.

Of course, nothing says winter like a production of Disney On Ice at Allphones Arena. This July, children of all ages can experience the magic of Disney On Ice – Dare To Dream during the 75th anniversary of Disney Princess stories.

With myriad more options – including so many outdoors and 12 FREE activities – it is little wonder Kids in the Park makes Sydney Olympic Park the official home of the BIGGEST range of school holidays activities of any location in NSW!
