A beautiful exhibition created by students of the Oac Rose Bay Campus from 0-6 years old.
Only About Children Rose Bay, Australia’s premium early learning provider, is hosting its third annual exhibition opening ‘Stories by the Oac Tree’ on Saturday, 5th December at 10am to showcase the wonderful visual arts of its children.
The beautiful exhibition is open to all families and the community. Rachel Greenwood, committee member of the Children’s Book Council of Australia and editor of All the Buzz about Books, will open the event which correlates with Children’s Book Week. ‘Stories by the OAC Tree’ is a celebration of the literary arts.
During the first year the exhibition started with a Sculpture exhibition associating the event with Bondi’s Sculptures by the Sea. Last year, a Portraits exhibition coincided with the Archibald Prize. This year the ‘Stories by the Oac Tree’ will showcase the campuses Oac Education offering from the nursery through to preschool via a blend of traditional and modern mediums including drawing, paint, video, e-books and ipad technology.
Inspired by Children’s Book Week, ‘Stories by the OAC Tree’ has been created as a subsequent result of the unique OAC Grow curriculum and the importance that creativity plays in a child’s learning and development. It has been psychologically proven that creativity is the key communication method used by children aged 0-3yrs old. Books allow children to use their imagination and creativity to express themselves. Visual art supports children’s growth as writers by nurturing the process of illustration.” Louise and Millie – Campus Director, OAC Rose Bay.
