    “children’s theatre at its finest”
    Mem Fox, author

Presented by Drop Bear Theatre and Tamarama Rock Surfers

Join Sydney’s highly acclaimed children’s theatre group Drop Bear Theatre for a fast paced comedy adventure at Bondi Pavilion right after Easter. Watching the story of a mother and toddler on stage, every parent will chuckle knowingly and every child will be sent on a rip-roaring escapade through recognition, fear and delight.

See the original script of Olivier Award winning UK playwright Mike Kenny debut on the Australian stage along with live music and cabaret style songs that’ll send Adele home weeping!

And guess what? You might just discover that the big bad world isn’t so bad after all – at least not when you’ve got someone to hold your hand.

    How long is the show?

Show 40 mins, post show play time 20 minutes

My toddler won’t even sit still for 2 minutes!?

Seats near the exit are reserved for restless toddlers, babies & nervous parents on their first shared theatre outing. We know our audience and want to make sure everyone is comfortable. You may be pleasantly surprised…

    Can my baby come along?

This show is not specifically designed to engage babies, but like all of our shows, the music, colour and warmth is a welcoming environment for babies too.

Will my 10+ year old be bored?

Our shows are not ‘babyish’. We know families don’t always come in neat age ranges, so all our shows are designed to have broad age appeal. We guarantee your 10+ year old will find plenty to laugh at and talk about, and so will you.

    Where is Bondi Pavilion?

The Bondi Pavilion is right in the middle of the Bondi Beach Esplanade. It’s the perfect place to have a snack, play in the sand or splash in the waves after the show. There is also a playground right next to the Pavilion. The theatre is on Level 1 of the Pavilion, stairs and elevator are available for access. Toilets and a parents room are upstairs right next to the theatre.

    Where do I park?

Bondi Park car park, Queen Elizabeth Drive (right behind the Bondi Pavilion). 1-2 hrs is $16 – bring change and/or credit card for meters. We recommend at least 30 minutes to find a park and make your way to the theatre, longer if you are having play/snack time first.
