At Get Kids Cooking, we have all the ingredients to cook up some fun these school holidays!
Let your kids get creative but keep your kitchen clean by enrolling them in our hands-on cooking classes. With an emphasis on safety, process and fun, your budding cooks will love to join us in our kitchen for a mini master chef experience.
Designed for school age kids from Kindergarten to Year 6, our recipes have an abundance of flavours, textures and ingredients to stimulate your child’s tastebuds. From wontons, meatballs with napolitana sauce, breakfast frittata, and even Anzac cookies there will be something new and exciting to cook and then eat – just choose the time and menu that suits you!
Joanne Bowskill, founder of Get Kids Cooking, believes that given the right experiences, children will adore cooking. She says “It’s wonderful seeing how being involved in the preparation of a meal can stimulate a child’s appetite to try new things. Our aim is to teach children age appropriate cooking skills that they will be able to replicate in the home with confidence.”
The school holiday classes are held at the Forest Community Arts Centre, next to Forestville Library, off Darley Street Forestville on Monday 14th April and Tuesday 15th April, with either full day or two-hour sessions offered. Classes cater to any allergies or food intolerances and students will be fully supervised by trained Get Kids Cooking staff.
Children attending the full day will need to pack a hat and water bottle, no need to bring any food as all meals will be prepared and cooked by the students!
Places are strictly limited so book today.
