Crisis can be scary but now i feel more confident that I’d know what to do…

Thinking about something going wrong with my now 5 month old is something that I have tried not to do since her birth. There had always been a nagging sense of her vulnerability and my lack of being equipped to act with any knowledge in a medical emergency.

After completing the vital aid course, I still don’t like thinking about her being unwell but I feel mulch more confident and relaxed knowing what to do if ever she did need me.

The information was clear, easy to understand and if your a hands-on learner like me there was plenty of opportunity for practise. The trainers were extremely flexible and helpful making it possible to do the course with my Mum’s group and our bubs present.

And, Dad will be doing his training soon too! Thanks KidzAid!

I organised for my family and I to do the Vital Aid course yesterday. It was well worthwhile and covered so much. Being pregnant with my first baby I was feeling anxious and overwhelmed being responsible for something so precious. I now feel a weight lifted from me as I now know I’m prepared and confident to deal with emergency situations and common accidents. It was great having it at the convenience of our own house and would highly recommend it to all parents, grandparents, older siblings or anyone who minds children.

We found Kidzaid to be very professional and knowledgeable on an area that is very scary to any parents – plus they come to your home!

I would highly recommend doing a course with them prior to having a baby or even a refresher when kids a bit older.

They had a fabulous presentation and were well equipped with dummies to practice on.

When I put out the call to my friends to understand who might be interested in this course, I got an overwhelming response. It seems that many parents and carers intended to do this, but never quite got around to it.
So to a full house, the team at Kidzaid presented and the overwhelming response was glowing, particulalry that the presenters came from a perspective of ICU neonatal and ED paediatric care.
The team were particulalry supportive to me as an organiser in the administration side of things also.
I would strongly recommend this course to any parents, parent-to-be, carers, grandparents etc.

As a doctor I think it is essential for parents to learn first aid skills, so they may act quickly and efficiently to assist their child in the event of an emergency. That is why I arranged for KidzAid to come to my Mother’s Group. My husband and a few other dads also attended. We all found the Vital Aid session to be very informative. The staff were very helpful and aproachable. They were flexible, accommodating our needs as a mothers group, with all of our babies present, including a set of twins. They brought two sizes of dummies, and everyone had the opportunity to practice the skills they were taught.

Amazingly, just today my 6 month old caught choked on a piece of fruit offered by a family member. My husband realized what was happening and quickly grabbed her and dislodged the fruit just as he was taught by KidzAid. He said to me “Well, that course just paid for it’s self!” he told me that he felt confident to act, and was very proud of what he did.

I’m happy to recommend KidzAid to any expecting parents, parents, or friends and family who have the pleasure of baby sitting.

I don’t have children but look after my neice (4 yr old) and nephew (2 yr old), the 1st time I cared for them was pretty scary for me, I kept thinking they are so small, what do I do if they have an accident or ate / drank something and got sick quickly. I have my general first aid certificate but still didn’t feel it was enough when caring for children.
After completing the KidzAid course I’m confident in my knowledge, the lecturers were great and very professional (both are nurses and mothers themselves so they know what they are talking about), easy to talk to, everyday language used, all questions answered. Definately value for money.
I’d highly recommend KidzAid to everyone.
Thanks again Bri and Nat for your sharing your knowledge!
