Everything is social media at the moment so I am intrigued by the Social Media Salon at the Pregnancy, Babies & Children’s Expo which starts today at Sydney Olympic Park.
The PBCE website describes the Salon as the perfect…
- Meeting Spot! Meet your family and friends or re-group
- Pitstop! Take a moment to sit down and have a rest
- Pamper stop! Have a massage or mini manicure by the Expert Therapists at one of the four Pamper Stations.
- Get snapped! Your photo taken to STAR on our Social Media Page
There are also daily prizes to be won. All you need to do is get snapped wearing your Social Media Salon sticker to enter the draw for the daily prize.
You can also get your picture taken with the Empathy Belly Man-Power Model. What’s the Empathy Belly? It’s basically a padded belly suit which simulates over 20 symptoms of pregnancy. The concept being that your man wears this pregnancy to give him empathy for a woman who has been or is pregnant. I am a bit sceptical as it seems a bit gimicky but used as an eductation tool it has been proven to be a highly effective teaching tool in teen pregnancy prevention and child birth education.
Doors are now open and the expo is on until Sunday. You can get your FREE ticket from the PBCE website here
